Visit to see Santa Claus!!
Richard and I took Lily to see Santa at C rossford. We took the train ride to his grotto, where we waited to see Santa. Unfortunately, this took an hour in the queue and as soon as Lily saw Santa, she burst into tears. We couldn't even get her to sit on his knee long enough to get a picture, so as you can see below, we tried to get one with the Santa statue, unforutnately this got the same reaction from Lily. I don't know what she will be like when she meets Santa at her Christams party tomorrow!! A lot of tears I should think :)

A BIG Thank You
We would like to give a big thank you to everyone for their lovely presents for both Richards and Lily's birthday. I would like to give a speacial thanks to my Mum (Isla) for helping me make such a wonderful birthday cake (below) for Lily's first birthday and also for making Richards chocolate cake - I know you had so much trouble getting the chocolate to set. It was still perfect as always!! :)
Happy 1st Birthday!!!!
Lily turned one yesterday. She received lots of lovely toys and clothes from family and friends and we celebrated with a birthday party on Sunday before leaving to go to Melfort Pier and Harbour to have some quiet family time, just the three of us celebrating Lilys 1st birthday and Richards 30th Birthday within a couple of days of each other. There are a couple of photos within the photo tab of Lily at her party and with some of her toys.

Update
Sorry there hasn't been an update in a while, my computer was broken and its just recently fixed. So much has happend since the last update, Lily has been Christened, she has been away at St Andrews for an overnight and also at Crieff Hydro for her Summer Holiday. I'll get pictures uploaded over the next couple of weeks.
As you can see from the picture, she is enjoying her food and as yet I haven't came across anything that she doesn't like. I think we have a lot of messy meal times ahead of us. :)

Valentines Day
Lily recieved 3 cards on Valentines day this year. One from her daddy, her great gran and also one from Jamie Byers. This made her daddy very nervous as this is just a taste of whats to come as Lily grows up.

First Tooth!!!!!!!
On Thursday 7 February 2008, Lily got her first tooth. Although all grandparents and aunties and uncles have been looking for this tooth for months, it was Daddy who found it last night whilst getting Lily ready for bed. She has been a wee gem and you would never have known she was teething as she has been as contented as always (the only thing giving her away is the bright red cheeks!)

First Swimming Lesson!!!
Richard and I took Lily last night for her first swimming lesson. We set off to Blantyre Swimming Baths for what we expected to be a pained half hour in the swimming pool with Lily screaming her little heart out but to our amazement she took to the water without a single hesitation. I was very surprised at this as Lily likes her baths to be slightly hot so getting her into the coolish swimming pool with no tears was amazing! Since the initial swim was a success we decided to dunk her under (just to get her used to the water :)). Richard was first to try it out and quickly dunked her under bringing her straight back up with huge smiles from Richard to try and encourage her that it was normal and she would be fine. With a slight whimper to begin with, she quickly regained her confidence and didn't bat an eyelid when we did it another couple of times. We all look forward to the next time, when we will perhaps take a baby seat so she can float on the water. You can find pictures of her in her cute little swimsuit under the photo section for January 2008.
Most recent weigh in!!!
Lily went to the clinic on Monday for another weigh in and she weighed a healthy 16lbs and 8oz. She is doing so well. Getting her own wee personality which is such a happy and contented one. She is still enjoying her food which includes carrot, sweet potato, butternut squash, parsnip, broccoli, brussel sprouts, pears and apples. I have been so proud of her for eating all the lovely food i've made her without spitting out a single drop.
